The swimming pool, although small, was a refreshing spot to cool down during the hot summer days.
The quilts in the room were disgustingly dirty, with noticeable blood stains and unpleasant odors.

good stay but room for improvement
The bedroom was nicely furnished and decorated, creating a cozy atmosphere. The rooftop pool was a delightful spot to unwind after a long day of exploring. The generous breakfast offerings were a great way to start the day. Most staff members were friendly and efficient, which added a positive vibe to my stay.
The initial impression from the first receptionist was a bit off-putting.

Room sizes were quite compact, with some guests feeling cramped, particularly when traveling with multiple people. Noise from nearby nightlife was noticeable, making sleep challenging despite closed windows. While breakfast had variety, it sometimes ran low on options toward the end of service. the general maintenance of the hotel felt hit or miss, which might detract from comfort.

The rooftop pool area offers stunning views that are perfect for relaxing after a day of sightseeing. Room cleanliness needed improvement. I found some stains on the linens. A unique offering is the happy hour with local culture tours available. Location is convenient, just minutes from public transport.

I stayed at Laleli Gonen Hotel for 2 nights in a Double or Twin Room and had a decent experience. The roof terrace caught my attention right away. It offered a stunning view of the city along with a pool to cool off. The breakfast spread was impressive with a variety of options, including multiple salads, Turkish meats, and fresh fruits. Most mornings, I indulged in a delightful meal to kickstart my day. Staff interactions varied. some were warm and helpful, especially when they gifted me a fruit plate on my birthday! there were issues with room cleanliness. Our bed linens had noticeable stains, and I found the quilts unacceptable in cleanliness. The shower struggled with maintenance too, as it was somewhat dated and fell apart at times. Noise from nearby pubs affected my sleep on a couple of nights. I had concerns regarding response times for room service requests. responses could take longer than expected. The location suited my needs well, being just a short walk from public transit, which offered easy access to local attractions. Despite the discomforts, the appeal of the rooftop ambiance and breakfast kept the stay enjoyable at times.

The proximity to public transport is a standout feature, as it’s just a five-minute walk to the tram and metro stations. The rooftop pool serves as a refreshing break from the bustling city, albeit on the smaller side, making it a cozy place to unwind.
The rooms lack sufficient space, feeling cramped particularly for larger luggage or group stays. Noise is a significant issue, with sounds filtering through from the nearby nightlife that can make escaping to sleep quite difficult. The breakfast selection tends to run out quickly, leaving limited options towards the end of service. inconsistencies in room cleanliness were noted, with some guests experiencing unpleasant odors that detracted from their comfort while staying.

The location is a major advantage, only a five-minute walk to the tram and metro, surrounded by plenty of restaurants and shops. While the swimming pool offers a refreshing escape, the quilts provided were unacceptably dirty, with noticeable stains and unpleasant odors. the breakfast lacked variety, running out of items before the end time, and the air conditioning was ineffective. Select rooms had broken amenities, raising concerns about maintenance standards.

Had an amazing time with friends at this hotel! We loved exploring the nearby spice bazaar and Blue Mosque. The breakfast was solid, and there were warm staff members ready to help us with anything we needed. The rooftop terrace was a nice place to relax and get together after our daytime adventures.
The noise from the nightlife nearby was pretty noticeable, but it wasn't a deal-breaker for us. Just be prepared for some late-night sounds.

It was just a good match for a weekend outing in Istanbul with definitely value for money. The staff helped me with great tips for public transport around the city. Consider bringing earplugs for a more restful sleep due to outside noise.
